Export & Customer Service Advisor

The Export & Customer Service Advisor will be responsible for responding to enquires from customers located both in the UK and Worldwide, and for processing and fulfilling orders.

The job holder will be expected to ensure that orders and enquiries are processed and fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner and that customers needs are met fully. Working in an International company selling to over 76 countries this role offers the successful applicant an opportunity to work in an exciting business that is growing at a rapid rate.


The ideal candidate will have a polite, confident and friendly manner both on the telephone and in face-to-face communications. They will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude and be well-organised and thorough, even when under pressure. In addition we are looking for the following skillsets:

Export documentation – Liaising with customers to manage expectations and their product needs, building a rapport with them, experience with export documentation & interacting with multiple backgrounds and cultures, keeping customers informed with their order and documentation from start to finish.

Answer incoming telephone calls, and customer emails – providing excellent customer service.

Accuracy and attention to detail, for example to ensure purchase orders agree with account information held and that prices are correct

Liaise with procurement to order stock for customers

Provide delivery instructions to warehouse

Manage delivery costs and cut off times for deliveries

Monitoring stock levels

Processing Amazon orders

Managing webchat service

Ability to work in a very fast paced office environment, liaising with a number of departments and meeting deadlines

Pass new opportunities via enquiries to sales teams

Support marketing campaigns

Liaise with customers to discuss their needs for products and support sales where required

Ability to cope with a growing business and changes to role when needed

Ability to problem solve and investigate issues relating to orders and shipping

Possess a good working knowledge of MS Office

Experience with Sage 50 would be advantageous

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar CRM system would be advantageous

Experience with dealing with export orders and documentation would be essential
