New Business Account Manager

The role

The New Business Account Manager will be targeted with winning new healthcare and non-healthcare customers, to sell the features and benefits of our wide portfolio of products and services, to convert sales leads and to manage & improve the performance of existing underperforming accounts.

A typical working day involves making outbound communications to book business meetings and to meet face-to-face in order to grow your account portfolio.  Your working time will be split approximately 70%  searching for new business opportunities/accounts within our defined areas of strategic focus, and around 30% managing existing accounts.

You will sell the features and benefits of our products and services, introduce promotional campaigns and deliver expertise in the area of Infection Prevention and Personal Protection Equipment. You will be considered a leader in these areas of healthcare and will be expected to nurture business growth by understanding the infection control needs of our customers in both healthcare and non-healthcare settings.

You will be comfortable selling ‘service’ based products such as training and consulting services

You will be able to speak with a high degree of confidence about how the features of our products, coupled with our expertise in the clinical environment will benefit our customers and the patients they serve within their respective healthcare institutions. You will be able to convert this expertise within non-healthcare settings in order to generate new business.  Examples may include the hospitality and education sectors.

Booking in meetings to secure new business and other opportunities/relationship management. You will manage your own busy schedule and should expect a full day of sales focussed activities.

Gather and respond to tender opportunities and document information about the opportunity, customer and account within our CRM system

Track the performance of all leads from inception to closure and report on won and lost opportunities to the Senior Leadership Team.

You will be working in a fast paced and competitive environment and should be able to build rapport with customers and explain the features and benefits of the product within challenging timeframes.

 

About You

Healthcare sales experience, with exposure to the areas of infection control/prevention and PPE, particularly polymer products is highly advantageous.

Knowledge of completing tenders, and preferable experience working with the NHS Supply Chain

Excellent communication and listening skills at all levels of an organisation. Competent to communicate at Senior Leadership Team (Executive Level) meetings

You should have or be able to rapidly accumulate a comprehensive technical knowledge of our products and services – you will confidently and persuasively demonstrate an extensive awareness of the services and goods offered by GV Health
