How to use your Chemical Spill Pack.

The GV Health Chemical Spill Pack is designed for fast containment, and removal of a chemical spill, providing an accessible, easy-to-follow, and safe solution to ensure best practice in compliance for spill clean-up procedures.
Providing all certified PPE, and recommended absorbance in one place.
Put on the apron or gown, gloves and mask visor provided.
Prepare disposable bag to ensure easy access when disposing of spillage.
Use the pad to absorb spillage, placing on the spill, and dabbing the area, not scrubbing.
Dispose of pad when spill has been absorbed.
Use tweezers to remove broken glass.
Please note broken glass should be disposed of in a puncture-proof container, and in accordance with local regulation to ensure safety.
Use whites provided to remove any residue from the surface, wiping in an ‘S’ shape motion.
Dispose of removed materials used absorbent pads, and wipes in bag provided.
Remove gloves first.
Pinch one glove at the wrist without touching the skin on the forearm, and peel away from the hand, turning the glove inside out.
Hold the removed glove in the gloved hand.
Hook, the index and middle finger of the bare hand inside the remaining glove, taking care not to touch the outside of the glove.
Pull off the glove, turning it inside out with the first glove inside, dispose in bag provided.
To remove apron, break the neck loop and waste straps. Avoid touching the outer surface of the apron with your hands. Roll the apron downwards from your chest, so the contaminated outer surface is folded inwards.
Dispose in bag provided.
Remove mask visor.
Use both hands to handle the straps by pulling away from face.
Dispose in bag provided.
Close bag, ensuring you do not touch the inside.
Tie a knot in place bag into appropriate waste stream in accordance with local regulations.
Wash hands thoroughly.
